A case filed over the murder of two minor brothers in Comilla over ‘family feud’ accuses the stepbrother of the killing.
The mother Rekha Akter filed the case Saturday night, said police.
“In the case Rekha Akter accused her stepson Mehedi Al Chhoton,” said Comilla Sadar South police OC Md Ayud.
Bodies of 7-year-old ‘Joy’ and 5-year-old ‘Mony’ were recovered from their home at the district town’s Dhhulparha on Saturday afternoon.
They were the children of grocer Abul Kalam and his second wife Rekha Akter
Police said preliminary investigations suggested that Chhoton, enraged by a quarrel between his father’s wives, might have strangled his stepbrothers to death.
Chhoton was born of Kalam’s first wife Rokeya Begum.
An MBA student of World University in Dhaka, he had recently gone home, but has gone missing since the murders.
